Upload Files in CreamSoda
In CreamSoda, you can upload and manage various file types such as images, word documents, audio files, PDFs, and more. These files can be attached to different resources like Person, Company, Deal, Offer, and Products. Here's a detailed guide on how to upload, organize, edit, delete, and share files in CreamSoda.
Getting Started
Important Notes
Private by Default: Files uploaded are private by default. To make a file public, you need to change its settings.
No View Tracking: Views from the document management functionality cannot be tracked. However, download metrics can be tracked using CreamSoda's Link Tracker.
Uploading Files
Steps to Upload a File
- Navigate to the resource record where you want to upload the file.
- Click on the File tab under the SalesOps section.
- Click the Add File button to upload your desired file.
- Once uploaded, the file will be accessible to you and your sales team members who have access to this resource record.
Downloading a File
Steps to Download a File
- Navigate to the resource record where you uploaded the file.
- Click on the File tab under the SalesOps section.
- Click on the Download button beside your desired file to start the download process.

Make a File Public
Steps to Make a File Public
- Navigate to the resource record where you want to upload the file. If the file is for generic use and not specific to a contact, create a dummy resource record to upload the file.
- Click on the File tab under the SalesOps section.
- Click the Add File button to upload your desired file.
- Once uploaded, click on the Share button beside the file.
- Click the Copy Link button to copy the file link to the clipboard. Paste the link anywhere by right-clicking and selecting paste or pressing `CTRL+V`.
Stopping File Sharing
Steps to Stop Sharing a File
- Navigate to the resource record where you uploaded the public file.
- Click on the File tab under the SalesOps section.
- Click the Stop Sharing button beside your desired file to stop sharing it publicly.
- Once a file is no longer public, it will only be accessible to team members with access to the specific resource record.
Deleting a File
Steps to Delete a File
- Navigate to the resource record where you uploaded the file.
- Click on the File tab under the SalesOps section.
- Click on the Delete button beside your desired file.
- Click Yes to confirm the file deletion.
- Your file is now deleted from CreamSoda.
